The Practice doors are open to the public from 9:00am to 5.45pm Mon-Fri, with the exception of public bank holiday closures.

A member of staff continues to be available between 5.45pm - 6.00pm for urgent telephone enquiries.

From time to time the surgery will close to facilitate staff and GP Training.

We aim to let patients know well in advance when this is the case.

Posters will be displayed giving details of numbers to contact during closure and a message will be recorded on our answering service.

Quayside Medical practice offers registered patients registered a full GP service when our practice is closed. For urgent advice and treatment, call Western Urgent Care on (02871 865195) between 18:00 - 08:30 on weekdays and from 18:00 on Friday until 08:30 on Monday.

Out-of-hours services are generally busy so please think carefully before asking to see a doctor and only do so if you genuinely cannot wait until the surgery re-opens.

In a genuine emergency you should call 999. Chest pains and / or shortness of breath constitute an emergency.

111 online is a fast and convenient alternative to the 111 phone service and provides an option for people who want to access 111 digitally. 

Your needs will be assessed and you will be given advice about whether you need:

• Treat yourself at home
• Go to a Primary Care Centre

If you need face to face medical attention you may be asked to attend a Primary Care Centre.
