CHANGES TO APPOINTMENT BOOKING SYSTEM FROM 30th SEPTEMBER

With the completion of building work and the arrival of additional multi-disciplinary staff we are moving back to a system of advance booking of appointments, this is in response to patient feedback.

On the day booking for routine GP appointments will end

Routine GP appointments will be available for booking 2 days in advance, these appointments may be booked by telephone or in person at 1.30pm each working day.

A number of GP appointments will be made available for booking 2 weeks in advance, half of these appointments will be released on-line each working day, the other half by telephone or at reception desk at 1.30pm.

Please be aware that there are a limited number of GP appointments available for booking each day.

The practice now offers appointments with an in house team of:-

  • Physiotherapist
  • Social worker
  • Mental health worker

Patients may book appointments directly with these healthcare professionals.  Please ask or pick up a leaflet at reception.

Practice nurses

In a number of cases it might be worth considering an appointment with a practice nurse rather than a doctor. Practice nurses are qualified to deal with many ailments and you may be seen more quickly.

Cancellations

If you cannot attend an appointment for any reason please inform us as soon as possible in order for us to give the slot to someone else. Patients who fail to attend three appointments in a 12 month period may be removed from the practice list.
